Gorilla safaris | gorilla trekking permits availability | Why book last-minute gorilla safari with us. Even though it is our advice to you is to book your gorilla safari with us months in advance, not everyone can commit it as there are some unforeseen circumstances, so you might need to be spontaneous when time allows for you to just pack and go. When it comes to gorilla safaris this is not usually an issue and arrangements can easily be made at the last minute.
The main issue with booking your gorilla safari close to your travel date is availability of gorilla permits as they are only and handful of them available per day (More on this see our article on gorilla trekking permits). More so, the camps and lodges, especially in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park – Uganda and Volcanoes national park – Rwanda get booked up months in advance. The high season June to August is always busy across the whole region where gorilla safaris are done. To avoid disappointment, we would recommend booking your gorilla safaris 9 to 12 months in advance.
However, outside these peak times there is almost always space in the top camps and gorilla permits available. In preparation for last-minute bookings, Century gorilla safaris always has two to 3 permits that are always available to be scheduled on any date just in case there comes a last-minute booking. For this reason, that is why you should consider booking your next gorilla safari with us be it for last minute gorilla safari or planning it a head of time.
